2005 Sub-Committees
Government Affairs Committee The role of the Government Affairs Committee is to strengthen ABIC’s partnership with the Bermuda Government. The Committee is also responsible for providing information on issues relevant to ABIC’s membership. Gavin Arton *
Education Committee The Education Committee administers the ABIC Education Awards, ABIC’s key educational initiative. The Committee is also responsible for developing education resources through community partnerships and meeting with other professional organizations. Our mission is to provide a level of financial support for Bermudian students to enable them to pursue their undergraduate or graduate educational goals in areas related to International Business through the provision of annual scholarships made possible by contributions from the Association of Bermuda International Companies. Marketing Committee The Marketing Committee works to improve awareness of ABIC in the business community. The Committee is also responsible for communicating general business trends to ABIC members and for organizing membership events. Richard Winchell *
External Relations Committee The External Relations Committee strengthens community partnerships and improves cooperation between ABIC and other organizations. The Committee also forms strategic alliances with appropriate groups and associations to collaborate on activities and initiatives of mutual interest and benefit. Harry Wilken *
Administration & Finance Committee The Administration & Finance Committee is responsible for ABIC’s organizational structure and financial accounting, The Committee also conducts ongoing surveys to assess members’ needs and is active in recruiting and encouraging diversity in new members.
